Wild Roe Venison
Hampton is home to many wild roe deer, we carefully manage these deer, selectively culling them and then selling wild roe meat at our meat collection days.
The Estate is home to a healthy population of wild roe deer which roam the fields and woods. They are extremely efficient at devastating young freshly planted wood plantations and woodland flora and we need to manage numbers to maintain a balanced, healthy population. We selectively cull the deer throughout the year, which is then available to order as Hampton wild roe meat.
Roe deer are smaller and more delicate than red or fallow but their meat is more concentrated, fat free and completely delicious.
