Hampton Estate Naturally Reared produce – our local natural meat sold direct from the farm.

BEEF
We are delighted that traditional English beef, sirloin and rump steak, joints and high quality, succulent mince is available direct from the estate.
 
Our pedigree herd of Sussex cows thrive on the extensive grassland and wild herbs of the Hogs Back and are one of England’s oldest native breeds of cattle. In winter they stay outside and as a result are far more healthy, feeding on home grown silage and hay.
 
They produce wonderfully flavoursome and extremely tender meat which we ensure is hung for as long as possible. This is critical for the meat to reach its full potential and ensures the flavour that we are seeking. This we sell in 10kg boxes of beef with a variety of cuts and joints. All Hampton produce can be traced on every step of its journey from field to table which is most important for our discerning customers.

Beef is so brilliantly versatile from sizzling steaks to roasting joints, pot roasts to overnight slow cooking, from Italian style mince to a tasty stew. All our beef is clearly labelled and packed in handy sizes for ease of use.
 
A typical box will hold:
1kg Steak (rump, sirloin)
4kgs joints (rib, topside, top rump, brisket, silverside)
3kgs mince (in 1kg bags)
2kgs stewing steak (in 1kg bags)

Mouth-watering fillet and our 100% beef burgers are available separately

VENISON
Wild venison is also available in a 5kg box. Each box has a range of cuts including haunch, steaks, medallions, rack and sausages. Venison is low in fat, high in iron, easy to cook and makes a very special meal be it a TV supper or candlelit dinner.
 
PHEASANT
Naturally reared pheasant is available throughout the season and each bird is bursting with flavour. Pheasants are sold oven-ready and one bird will feed two people handsomely. Available November – January.

SAUSAGES
Hampton Herby (free range pork) Sausages are for sale in convenient packs of six and taste wonderful. They are made locally by expert Q Guild butcher Roger Wakeling at his shop in nearby Farncombe www.wakelings.co.uk. Our free range pork comes from the next door village of Shackleford and herbs are direct from our walled kitchen garden at Hampton. These are traditional sausages and cook beautifully.

HAMPTON SPECIAL STEAK PIES
Our pies are made by local butcher Roger Wakeling using the finest Hampton beef and herbs all encased in mouth watering crisp pastry. Large pies feed three adults well but they also come in an individual size for that meaningful snack.

FARMING POLICY
Our farming practices are extensive and the estate is home to a wide range of habitats and environments all of which promote an amazing array of wildlife. The farms are all included in the DEFRA funded Environmental Stewardship Scheme and parts of the estate are designated in the Higher Level Environmental Stewardship Scheme. This ensures that we are positively managing the land for both environmental and commercial aims which can go hand in hand.

The estate’s wild bird register currently names eighty two different species seen over the past twelve months by members of staff.

All Hampton Naturally Reared Produce is supplied fresh and is ready for freezing at home. We do not have a farm shop, instead we operate a Hampton Collection Day. At the end of every month we have a Natural Produce Day and invite everyone who has ordered our produce to visit the farm, enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine with us and pick up their order. Thus most items are pre ordered. A reminder letter or email is sent out to each customer just before the day, with directions.
